Post OT: Classic cars

There are cars that you must have once yo have seen them. The 993 is one of them. For me there are a couple of other cars as well.

I have been looking for an Aston Martin V8,hopefully Vantage, for some time now as well as some typical italian GTs from the 60's and 70's.
Has anyone on this board driven a good V8? Is it a real "kick butt" type of torque? Any other experience with big european engines from that era?

I can't speak of the European V8s from the 60s and 70s, but the BMW V8 used in the M5 and even the 540 is a pretty sweet machine.
