Post obd 1 on 95' 993

Hi Folks,

I noticed that on my 95 993 it is not a fully obd 2 compliant system (and actually it is registered as obd 1). However, when I look at the connector it uses a standard obd 2 connector. So my question is has anyone tried pluging in a scanner tool & software to see if it can communicate with the system?

My wife has a c-class mercedes (also '95) and it is not yet fully obdii compliant but it works with the scan software & cable. So I'm wondering if the same is true on the '95?

Cheers,
Boris

From everything I know, generic OBDII scanners will not work. Might try an archive search.
