Now JB, don't blow it out of proportion. I've copied Virginia's cyberstalking law, just for your perusal.

§ 18.2-152.7:1. Harassment by computer; penalty.

If any person, with the intent to coerce, intimidate, or harass any person, shall use a computer or computer network to communicate obscene, vulgar, profane, lewd, lascivious, or indecent language, or make any suggestion or proposal of an obscene nature, or threaten any illegal or immoral act, he shall be guilty of a Class 1 misdemeanor.

Notice that we need 1) intent.
Then we must 2a)communicate obscene, etc language or 2b) make, among other things, a proposal of an obscene nature.

I hereby PROMISE, I will never make E.J. an obscene proposal.

Now, If I were there . . . that's a different story. But of course - I am not. Right?

Not to mention there are many definitions of vulgar...
If I read this correctly, many Rennlisters are in violation of this statute.

We could face a massive cyber-bust. I wonder what the penalty for a Class 1 misdemeanor is?

Maybe we should have a poll about who the most egregious violator of 18.2-152.7:1 is.
