Wow - that is where I grew up. I'm sorry I don't have a name for you but there used to me a great mechanic in the next little town over...Chatham.

Try PowerTech in Rockaway, NJ. They're probably less than half an hour from where you are. Did the PPI on my 96 coupe just a couple of months ago and did a very thorough job. They seem to be very highly regarded on this board as well. Ask for Mike Daino - 973.586.3210

AutoHaus is the place in Chatham .. i dont have any experience with them, but others in the PCA region speak well of them.. i think the guy (forget his name) is very old school and has been working on 911s for 30 years.

You could try High Marques Motor Werks in Morristown, too. 973 984 3800.

Try Palumbo's Exxon in Millburn. Yup, it's a gas station. The owner has a 964 Turbo and his wife a 996 cab, and both the owner and chief mechanic race their Porsches in PCA club racing. You'll always see plenty of Porsche's there, and they don't charge an arm and a leg. You won't get a latte there, though.

palumbo in millburn would probably be good and I've also heard good things about autohaus in chatham.....

also, Larry at Pinnacle in Sterling is very good and active PCA participant.
