My A/C is no longer blowing cold air.
The wiring loom was replaced a couple of months ago.
The A/C is always on but Yesterday was the first day I needed to use the A/C on full and thats when I noticed.
Would this be related or is this a coincidence.
I had the A/C condensor and resista replaced and A/C regassed last year.
The year before, the A/C pipe (under passenger side) was replaced and the compressor overhauled. The filter was replaced.
Otherwise, I cant think of what else might need replacing.
Can anyone help?

Bins,
There are lots of potential sources of your problem, including the wiring harness. But, I would check the charge first. Sorry to say, but it's quite possible you have a leak somewhere.
If you're motivated, I can tell you how to supply 12V directly to the compressor, to make sure it's okay. Even then, that doesn't determine if the relay is good or bad. Similarly, the compressor still won't run if the charge is low.
Sounds like you've had a lot of work done on your A/C system. Here's hoping you don't have a leak at the $evaporator$.
Best of luck, and let us know how it goes.

Bins,
If you are anywhere near N London - I would recommend JZ Mechtec. They sorted my a/c.
I don't believe I had a serious problem but they seemed to know what they were doing.
Tito.

Thanks folks.
The compressor moves freely with the engine off.
With the engine on and A/C switched on, the belt and pulley moves but the compressor doesnt turn.
Means that it could still be anything, including a leak. Unfortunately that doesnt tell me much so Ill have the A/C people look at it. If it works out to be an electrical problem, from the recall, it will go back to OPC for them to check it out.

The evaporator had been leaking. Must be that then.
Anyway, Ive had it replaced. Voila. Cool air again. Yippee. <img border="0" alt="[byebye]" title="" src="graemlins/wave.gif" />

For the record, I had the wiring upgrade done and my AC works just the same as before. Poorly, that is ;-) And the CCu makes a buzzing noise after you shut the car down (also normal I hear). I'll do the ballast resistor on the AC side as soon as I get my lift...
I probably jinxed myself and now it's gonna die on me!

Greg .... yup, it's normal for the CCU temperature sensor fan to run after the ignition is turned off. Up to something like 15-20 minutes.
