I wish I could make that event, PCA San Diego has an event at Pahrump Oct 2-3. Really fun track and an opportunity to go to the annual Rodeo they have. Gambling is also available. It was a blast last year!

I'm interested, although really only for the Sat and Sun. 2 days at Buttonwillow is enough for me.

I'll add it to my calendar. I'm not sure now if work will permit me to attend, but I'll try.

Harry: will you have the new car ready?

Kary: Where are your priorities! Gambling instead of a rumble with a bunch of turtles? If you must, you can bet on various aspects of the weekend at Buttonwillow - who will spin first, who's slowest or fastest. You know, the important stuff.

Tom, you have a strong argument for going to the rumble. Not that I am serious gambler but I have been trying to support the San Diego time trial series by attending as many as I can. There are so many great events to go to with POC, PCA, TracQuest, and now rumbles....just not enough time in the year :-((

Here's the count so far:

YES:
viperbob
edrewitz
Chris Walrod
Rand
CA993twin (me, the old fartus)

MAYBE:
touf
Tom W
hdemas
Edward
Oldguy

While this count is a little light to qualify for a "rumble" I'm hoping others will join in.

Oldguy,

The details are: go to www.speedventures.net and see what the event organizers have to say. If there is only a dozen or so of us Rennlisters, then we'll just show up and drive as regular participants. If we can get more interest, perhaps we could arrange some special run group or pricing or something. We'll worry about that later. Meantime, we'll show up for three days, two days, or one day, whatever you want. Me personally... two days is plenty... Sat and Sunday. We can find a nearby motel and have dinner and hang out. What are you confused about?

Oldguy,

You're right... we're so far in advance of the date, its still not fully established on their site. I estimated the cost by looking at some prior events. Let me tell you what a total hoot you'll have out there. I was right about a twin turbo for you... I'm right about this as well. There's no big rush to commit, but write it on your calendar.

OK... the info on www.speedventures.net is up. They describe the three different layouts and the prices and schedules. Please start firming up your plans and let me know. I'll try for a "Rennlist Nutball Discount"

Buttonwillow is a great driver';s course, and the weather should be decent on Oct 1->3. OK... who's in?

I missed this thread earlier, but it makes me happy, as I was planning to go, so now that many porsches, with owners of whom I know will be in attendance, mark me down for an almost definetly. (dare I say in my porsche, that will be running?)
