Post RS Engine and Tranny mounts...

Does anyone have any experience with RS engine and tranny mounts, as compared to OEM's?

What are the advantages/disadvantages of the RS mounts vs. OEM's? Not interested in solid motor mounts (too noisy, and not appropriate for a daily driver).

TIA!

On my old 993, approaching the boot at Watkins Glen the car (even with RSR suspension) would flex a bit in the compression. Result--a little snag on the third gear up-shift. The RS mounts reduced chassis-transmission flex and solved that problem. On a street car, I wouldn't bother, really.

The RS 993/964 motormounts are a good cost effective upgrade. I have them on my 993RS and provided them to DC LEE and many other 993/964 drivers. They are lighter and have less play and still soak up noise/vibration completely acceptable for street use. Give me a call and I send you a set. You need 2 for the engine and one for the transmission. While you are at it get the short transmission shifter........basically you have a RS CS shifting- engine/transmission mounting set-up.
