How do I import my 993 C2 to California from Europe?
I am soon to move to Orange County, CA and would like to bring my 993 with me. The car is a 1994 model German spec vehicle. Does anyone know the best way to proceed?

I think this issue came up already try the archives ... you'd need to get it DOT certified and this is done thru a few certified places and it could be a little bit of a painful and pricey proposition depending on how attached u r to the car, it maybe easier and to sell it in Europe and buy a US-spec here. Although if u r adventurous and don't mind waiting around it could be fun.

I bought my car (also a German 993) off a guy who emigrated to the US - he decided it was'nt worth the hassle to get it made road legal over there, cheaper & less hassle to sell it and buy another one.
By the way, I used to live & work in Orange County too, You will have a brilliant time...

It's not worth it...
I was thinking about it, but after searching info about it, decided not to. Roughly, it will take about $10k (maybe little less) for someone to do it.
