Did a search on different 5 channel amplifiers. Seems most people are using Audison, McIntosh, higher-end stuff. Anyone have any experience with JL Audio amps, esp. the 500/5? These aren't cheap either, but I can get a used one for 1/2 price. All I've seen on the web are positive comments about it.

I have a Jl 250 sub amp and a JL 300/2 in the car I am replacing the 993 with. Excellent amps! No problems whatsoever with them and I bought both of the amps used, too.
If they fit the location you're thinking of, go for it. No regrets here.

I installed the JL Audio 450/4 in my C4. It delivers 75 watts to each of the front speakers and has 300 watts for the subwoofer when bridged. I could not be more pleased.
Best of luck!
