Sorry, I'm not much help on this but....Ewww!!! Unless you were putting in a VDO boost guage for a turbo I would think this would look a bit too riced! That said, keep us posted - who knows, maybe I'll do that turbo conversion some day!

good luck

Why wouldn't you replace the clock with a useful gauge before adding that particularly cheesy part?

I am curious, what guages would you want on the pillar?

Me too. What gauges on a NA car would be good to have other than what comes from the factory?? E.J., what would you replace the clock with if you were to do it? I have never seen anyone discuss this before.

BTW, I would probably avoid a pillar gauge as well. It just wouldn't look right. My .02.

The gauge is more of an idea then it is anything else. I have thought about the clock but I don't want to loose all the factory gauge lights that surround it. Don't look at it for what they are supposed to hold, look at it for what it could hold (obviously other then gauges)...The pillar pod is just one idea out of many possibilities

Even if it was a Turbo I wouldn't want them on my pillar. They seem to be annoying in your view. A number of "Ricers" put them on there just so you see them when your drive up next to them. Just my .02

Would that be a barometer, or a wind gauge for the pillar pod?

Ok lets get off the Ricer gauge pods...Yes GTR 993 they are always in your view, which is exatly the point. It seems as though they dont exsist so Im going to go to plan B..Thanks for the input..

And no on the barometer and wind gauge.

Anything over 80 I don't look at the gauges I look at the road. After driving the car for awhile I have a pretty good idea where my shift points are. You could probally fit C5 pillar gauges on a 993 with some work. www.ecklers.com Good Luck

fellas fellas
easy on the rice boy topic
i'm sure the pod will make an excellent mounting point for a cell phone charger

in anycase don't you find it absolutely necessary to need to monitor all your parameters constantly... such that it detracts you from all other activities... namely... driving
hence you won't know what that tail is doing mid bend.. but at least you'll know what revs your doing... betters still... what temp your coffee is going to be, after you plant yourself in the nearby scenery...

kiddin
peace out
