Default Tools suggestion needed.

I am going to Home Depot tommorow to get some stuff for the house. My wife want some lamps. We are gonna do the 300 buck no interest thing. I need some suggestions to get up to the $300. I was thinking an air set (impact wrech cut and die tool etc) and maybe a big ole torque wrench. I got all kinds of sockets boxes wreches etc. You guys got any nice to have suggestion that you can get at the Depot?? Dremel kit? (I got the dremmel already)

If you go the air tool route just stay away from the cheap stuff, some of the cheap impacts won't even loosen a torqued wheel lug.

OG - What about a big wet/dry vacuum? Or a tile saw so you can tile your garage to look like the good Dr's...

I always wish i have those ratchet wrench sets. the open end, where the other closed end is ratcheting... if you dont have those, so worth it! I'm gonna buy myself some.
Of course, you should just buy a mechanics tool set at sears, or something, that helps.

If you don't have an air hammer Home Depot sell a very inexpensive one, $20 or $30 I forget the exact amount. It's a Husky it works fine and is very handy for separating suspension parts or anything else that's really stuck. I don't use it much so it will probably last me a very long time. It's not made in China. I think it's made in Japan, or maybe it is Taiwan.

I recently used it to separate a coupler from an A-arm on an ML and without the air hammer there is no way I could have done the job.

These are great suggestions, a nice powerful wet-dry vacuum. I think you have a compressor already. A good compound mitre saw is always nice to have. I would be careful with the air tools they offer. Then again, they might have decent ones nowadays?

Now only if Gert offered the zero interest over $300 purchase program...I dont think I would need help getting over $300 with Carnewal

How about a dremel tool or a set of dremel tool extensions? Those can get pretty pricey.

Personally, for most hand tools I'd go to Sears. Have always liked their quality.

As far as Home Despot:
- Butane powered soldering iron (little hand-held job)
- Quality DVM with a laser temperature probe
- Snow blower

Ray I have had a snow blower here for 17 year and never used it! in the Mojave go figure. I got most of my handtools from Sears including the ractheting box wrenches I got the vacum and miter saw. I dont know about tiling the floor!
I may just buy the husky air tool set.

Ray is right about the butane soldering iron. They are really handy around cars!

HD sells Dewalt and I just got their 18v 300 ft. lbs. cordless impact wrench. Can they do special orders w/your coupon? If not can you buy me a new bathroom vanity and send it to Chicago?
