Default sprayers

Does anybody us the headlight sprayers?
Of five years of ownership, I never used them. Matter of fact, I don't think I know how to use them.
If anybody had their front end resprayed and in the process, deleted these sprayers, please post a picture.
Or, if anybody just deleted them, show us.
When looking at the new 997, the sprayers are a metal color. I don't know why they just delete this option?

poorb0yw (Princeton) deleted his (and his car, I believe, is the same color as yours) -- if you search under his name, you can find pics.

Only time I recall using them was in my first few months of ownership. I was on a country road and wanted to hit my brights, but I pulled back on the cruise control arm instead of the signal arm -- the lights went out (or very dim). I figured both high beam headlights were busted . . . until I realized I must have been using the sprayers. Haven't used them since.

I guess you could always twist them to aim alongside your car to squirt people as you go by, but that 'prank' could escalate into something ugly for both your car and you...

Mine are broken. I noticed it a few months ago. However, I haven't used them since 2000, so who knows when they actually quit working and why.

I think they're useful if you travel in muddy conditions or in snow. Rain isn't enough to warrant using them.

IMO keeping the WS ones is a better idea.

Even if you never drive the car in the rain, removing the bugs during a spirited drive at dusk is essential.

I tried to post a pic of the RS (no light washer) but cannot get Photoshop to do what my brain wants. IT?? bah humbug

I had my headlight washer ones removed a month ago during a rock chip respray. I can post a pic if you guys like. Looks very smooth.

Yep I had mine deleted. Absolutely love the cleaner look in that area.
