Is this the fabled trans referenced in Bruce Anderson's 911 Performance Handbook? If so, I thought those were extremely rare, almost custom made....

Tipsters, if this is the trans I am thinking of, it is the ultimate Tiptronic icon...and even if it is not the one I am thinking of, it would still have to be something special coming from Ruf.

How ' bout a group buy??

Bob -

This sounds like an interesting proposition - one I probably can't afford right now.

I don't know about a Tiptronic, but RUF had an EKS (electronic clutch system) based manual transmission jointly developed with Fichtel & Sachs. Is that what you guys are referring to?

Yes! That's the one I was thinking of Viken, thanks.

Don't suppose there are too many of those laying around anywhere, now available cheaply as "old technology?"

If Ruf also does a regular Tiptronic, I'd sure like to know abou that also.
