Default 993 suspension

What advantage would I get if I swithed from the H+R coilovers currently on my car to the PSS9 setup?

More than likely a better damper/spring rate match and of coarse the adjustability... Lighter wallet as well

You may also be trading a well proven suspension for one that has suspect quality control.

IMO -

that's a lateral change. If you want more track capability go for JIC if you need to retain semi-streetability. If you are going track only then look at Moton.

If you want more comfort then I would suggest Bilstein HD's and H&R progressive springs.

All a question of what you want from the car.

Thank you. I figured I would realize little or no benefit with it for what I do with the car. I was curious because when I had it for sale(before I decided I just could not part with it) a prospective buyer mentioned "he would ditch that setup...and go with the PSS9s". I was just curious why he would be so eager to do that unless he was merely misinformed. Thanks again!

I have the Pss-9 setup on my car and I have had the quality issues as well.
My first rear shock was damaged and I had to send it back to Gert, who was great about the whole situation. I found the shock was bad after it had been installed however and had to redo the install. I do not use the adjustability anymore now that I have found my ideal setup. I might have just gone the bilstein, H&R spring route if I had to do it again.

I have just installed 2 year old PSS9's that I bought on ebay, I have found that the ride is somewhat bouncy or springy...is that normal or could there be something wring with the PSS9's

I have H&Rs and Bilstein HDs and find the set-up perfect for my weekend drives and occasional track event. While it would be nice to have the PSS9 adjustability, I might not even know where to begin tweaking the set-up.

What shock settings are you using? IMO at anything but the highest dampening settings (1-5) the shocks are badly underdamped for the spring rates.

I used to keep them set to 3F/5R on the street to get what I thought was adequate dampening.

I run at 5 (out of 1-9 selection) front and rear and I find the car neutral on the track and rides firm on the street. I rarely adjust the suspension now that I have it dialed in. I do find that the adjusters do not click as firmly as they should so I have to adjust visually.

I have had the H&R coilover setup for a few years (purchased before PSS-9 was out) and I have been very happy with the handling. I don't have adjustability, but I'm not sure why I need it. The system is working well together, and the shock valving seems good.
