Here's a photo of my hollow spokes which are polished by Wheel Enhancement, not chromed.

Lee, maybe that's what I have. I had always thought they where chrome, perhaps they are polished. Don't mine look just like yours?

Fred, they look the same from a distance, but I haven't taken a close look. A good reason for drive soon. I wouldn't really know how to tell the difference beyond just looking at them. Perhaps they taste different!

So the wheels on ebay are prone to this kind of damage? I thought someone said those wheels are painted. Im pretty confused about this

If the seller claims the finish is factory, then it's painted since factory chrome twists do not exist (although dealers would chrome the wheels and add a huge markup)....since they are painted the issue posted above is not apply. If they are chromed (and not just painted) then you need to be careful.
