Peter,
Karma will catch up with this fool one day. Stay the course.

Greg-thanks for your post on Dixon/Pierre's website. I hope there's no way he can take it off.

In case he CAN remove it, I think all of us who got rooked by buying these copies of Gert's bars owe it to all of the other innocent and unwitting buyers out there by writing to the PCA officers Greg has listed. Let them know what kind of rat exists in their midst. Let the other cool guys out there know that they're about to step into a big pile of steaming Canadian crap.

PeterS-I feel your pain, brother, I feel your pain.

BTW, PayPal has been absolutely NO help in resolving this issue. They can't make assessments of quality. I ask, what safety is there in using them? <img border="0" alt="[soapbox]" title="" src="graemlins/soapbox.gif" /> I have had to turn to my credit card company who has been helpful.

Mark,
Did you actually get the product? Or was it just not to your liking?

You can also post on the UCR board by registering and your name is your userid.

I figured that would be the case, that's one of the reasons I decided to install the thing instead of trying to return it. At some point it's just not worth the anger anymore.

FWIW it does fit and work just fine once I got it mounted right, which did take some minor modification. I scrape entering my driveway so it has seen some use.

Someday I'll buy one from Gert anyway, toss this one in the trash and move on with my life 130 bucks wiser.

Good luck,

Greg,

I did receive the bar but had fitment issues. Frankly, solving the issues was the straw that broke the camel's back for me, along with the chrome finish. Dixon/Pierre claimed that the bar was polished to a high shine but, due to Dixon/Pierre's complete and total lack of credibility, I was unwilling to wait several months to see if the chrome would rust .

In the end, it IS worth it to me to go the trouble of returning this thing. I don't want that wonderful, shining (Smell that? That's sarcasm) example of a human being to have any of my money.

I checked the UCR website this morning and it looks like someone pulled his ad for the FPB. Don't know if it was the admin or Pierre himself.

Did someone happen to copy the ad. The link is dead now and I wanted to forward a copy of it to Gert.
Thanks

Kim,

Pierre must be a little slow, or maybe his momma drop him on his head one too many times. He wrote that testimonial in 2000 and I guess it took almost 3 years to design a similar product that did fit as well. Doh!

AJ,
It was just an advertisement for his version of Gert's bar.

...Back to the interview, I am sure they are looking for people who have pushed their 993s to the limit and upgraded their cars to get more performance. Immediately, I thought about you guys and was hoping at least one of you get the interview. I would love to read the article when it comes out.....
