Post Interested in being interviewed with your souped-up 993?

Got this in the mail:

"Les Bidrawn, Senior Editor of European Car, would like to interview two or three owners of Porsche® 993’s (911’s®) from 1995-1998) for an upcoming article titled "993 Performance." Pictures of the cars will be taken and the total amount of time required for this interview is approximately three-four hours.

We're looking for 993 Coupes, Cabs or Targas with performance-oriented products installed. For example, 993's with an H&R Suspension, B&B Exhaust, Brembo Big Braking Kit, etc. Please email josieca@performanceproducts.com or rickad@performanceproducts.com at Performance Products if you're interested in being considered or for additional information"

I'm definitely not qualified but I can think of a bunch of names on this forum...

I think <a href="http://www.pcaucr.org/PCAUCR/Discussion.nsf/BabyPictures/efd36dbd88bd3bb78525687200122cb3" target="_blank">THIS CAR</a> qualifies.

Pierre (aka The Dick-son) Tien's car is precisely the type that European Car tends to profile. Bling bling.

Kim and I joked about this today...

Instead of

"Les Bidrawn, Senior Editor of European Car, would like to interview two or three owners of Porsche® 993’s (911’s®) from 1995-1998) for an upcoming article titled "993 Performance."

Perhaps it should be:

"Les Bidrawn, Senior Editor of European Car, would like to interview an owner of two or three Porsche® 993’s (911’s®) from 1995-1998) for an upcoming article titled "993 Performance."

Kim, Danny and Greg should fit into this category

Does carbon deposit removal qualify for a mod????

Ooops...did I say that...they probably should not interview me <img border="0" alt="[ouch]" title="" src="graemlins/c.gif" />

Although I do have some mods that actually affected performance of the vehicle positively

Yes it is, surprise, surprise. I would suggest writing to the officers of his PCA region and letting them know what a scum bag he is.

Here is a post I made on their region's web board.

Below are the addresses.

Greg

A link to the previous Rennlist thread would make it pretty clear to any reader just what kind of character he is....after which a simple search would highlight his uh, "controversial", history here. Just a suggestion...

...and he has a new ride <a href="http://www.pcaucr.org/PCAUCR/Discussion.nsf/Parts/f85fb30badafb10c85256ccb002d5bcf" target="_blank">more parts</a>; and I bet he has 15 more of these <a href="http://www.pcaucr.org/PCAUCR/Discussion.nsf/Parts/1f5851f036a1938485256ccb0032e435" target="_blank">and more</a> that he got "stuck" with!!

I can NOT believe I was such a gullible idiot. I truly believed I was helping one of "us" out. I was not looking for a FPB, it was not a priority purchase for me, and I got scammed hook, line and sinker. South Park was right about those damn Canadians. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />

You should see the several emails DICK-son sent me privately, apologizing profusely for all the confusion, acting hurt and misjudged, implying up and down that these were Gert's bars and some friends backed out after he ordered. Unbelievable, how can that POS live with himself???

I'm leaving it on my car as a reminder to myself that character matters. I built a successful business unit based on trust, where I do not invoice my customers until they send me signed acceptance letters stating their complete satisfaction. This will be a good lesson and reminder to me that I am on the right track and the effort is worth it. In that sense it's money well spent.

Yo DICK/Pierre: Here's some friendly advice from a big, mean transplanted Texan. Stay out of the Bay area, I'm keeping my eyes open for you. <img border="0" alt="[nono]" title="" src="graemlins/nono.gif" />

PS: Your car is uglier than a sack of assh*les.
