993 Suspension Question
Does anyone have the porsche part numbers for:
GT2 EVO uprights
RS Tie rod assemblies
oh yeah and possibly a good source for a remanufactured steering rack.

I installed one of of my new uprights today as a matter of fact on my own car.... Very cool. Do not forget to order new wheel bearings....

This along with a new rack will be all I need to eliminate the bumpsteer in my car right? It has H+R coilovers and it rides pretty low and steering wheel jumps around in the truck ruts on the highway. I am planning to begin using it for Autox and DE's soon and want the best setup I can get. Besides the coilovers and these items and my RS sway bars, what other items can I get? Monoballs-what exactly do these do and would there be anything else I should do at the same time in order to save labor costs?

Front camber plates / rear upper shock monoball are a next step generally. Also make sure that you have a strut brace, and if you are might consider RS motor mounts / tranny mount to keep the engine from moving too much for improved shifting.
Do you need a new rack? This is not required to reduce the bump steer.

Yeah mine is leaking. So you would suggest the camber plates and rear upper monoballs and I do have a strut brace and I will install RS motor mounts when the engine and tranny are out for their little makeover. Thanks again for your swift response. I had this car for sale and needs some work and after about the zillionth person lowballing me for this and that I just decided to keep it and turn in into a car to be used for less street and more DE/autox stuff.

If you are really looking for a cool feel for your car, you can get a 964 RS America manual steering rack. This will return the car to having some feel when steering. If not, then standard rebuilt racks can be had for about $600. I think that is about the price that I sold the last one.

Its not cheap but really effective.

Steve-would you suggest I stay away from the camber plates and the monoballs for a car being driven maybe 1-2 days/week on the street and sacrifice some performance at the track/auto-x? Also are the camber plates something I can add at a later date without having to completely dismantle my suspension or should I do them while the EVO uprights are being installed? Thanks!

Do it all at once. You need to take everything apart again and realign the car in order to install the monoballs and camber plates. Monoballs and camber plates are very reasonable for street driving. It helps to have good dampers like PSS9s or better to have an even better overall ride and dual purpose car.

Ride quality assessment is quite subjective between individuals and one man's poison is often another man's tea,...
Everyone has an opinion on the question of Camberplates/monoballs for street use and they are all valid. I'll simply express my own that I consider those a compromise for street usage and a tradeoff between handling & ride quality.
For track use, they are definitely an asset but I do not care for them on cars that are street-driven over 80% of the time. IMHO, race cars make lousy street cars and street cars make lousy race cars. Everyone must decide how much noise-vibration-harshness they are willing to give up to get pin-sharp handling.
I would encourage you to make an effort to ride in a 993 that has them and make that decision for yourself. Local road conditions and your tire brand/pressures play a big role in your 993's ride quality.
Bob is right, the struts and shocks must be removed to add them later on and the car's setup and alignment redone.

So just so I know...the camber plates go in the front and the monoballs go in the rear. I am doing the front end right now with EVO uprights, new wheel bearings, and RS tie rods and also replacing the steering rack as it was leaking. I want to do the camber plates while it is apart if that would be the best thing. I will tackle the rear end in a few weeks. Where do I get these and how much are they? Thanks.
