Eyal -

Top driver Hurley Haywood loves the tip. F1 cars are clutchless.

Some of us who have driven stick for years prefer it (less wear and tear on the knee joint - especially in heavy traffic)

I'm sure you can appreciate the reduced cost of ownership from not having clutch replacement.

To each their own - its all good. Lets see, a great running 993 tip or a non running 951 stick. hmmm. :-)

TIPPERS UNITE!

PS Congrats on the new position.

good think you came out of it ok. Thanks for placing the post so that others with a tip can make sure to watch for the same action.

LOL.. In my case when I bought the car new with my hard earned savings (all my own funds from BEFORE getting married), my X-hubby would only allow me to purchase the car if I got a tip so he could drive it... needless to say the husband didn't last but I still love the car!

..and I have a boxster S stick for those stick craving days!

You're welcome Alex - That is why we post. N'cest pa?

My theory on most things, i.e. , MY 95 993s, Cabriolets, Tiptronics, et al...

If you don't like 'em, don't buy 'em.

hey hey... I was only joking! besides, my 951 doesnt run because of my own actions, i decided to pull the head, so that when its back on, I can find out what a 993 like yours looks like in the rear view mirror! (head work)

I like it for the extra leg room (I'm 6'6") and the versitility it offers in all driving conditions. Even in traffic I use M to avoid constant lugging of the engine.

Ride shotgun with me and I will show you the beauty of the Tip.

BTW, I've had the car for two years and my wife has yet to drive it.
