On board computer

The on board computer display on my 993 has been getting dimmer and finally have gone out totally. Anyone had this problem. Could it be a bulb, fuse or ??????. Any ideas? Mike W

If it's been getting dimmer, then died, unfortunately I feel it's the display (from experience with my Audi)
