Post Alarm System

Can the OE alarm system on the 993 (MY 1997) be completely disabled to allow the installation of an aftermarket alarm system ?

Also if I may add on to this topic, how many of you installed aftermarket alarms? I hope to pick up my "new" car this weekend or next week!

Chris,

I researched the Clifford Intelliguard system. It offered many features and allowed upgradeability. Much more advanced than the factory unit. The shop I consulted was going to disable the factory unit. Shouldn't be a problem for a decent shop. Good luck with the new car. What model did you get?

Regards,
Sam

Great looking car... now all you need is ROW ride-height, clear indicator lenses and big reds to finish the job

Sorry. Nice job... hope it all goes smoothly.
