Default Portable Impact Wrench

I bought mine from Dave Turner at Dave Turner Motorsports in San Diego...I can't recall the price, it was not as cheap as the Harbor Freight Impact see above, nor as expensive as I estimate the SnapOn to be.

Torque Stick: If you use a impact wrench, get a Blue Torque Stick. It allows the wheels to be torquesd to about 85 Lbs...then you take it the rest of the way with a manual torque wrench, at least I do.

Agro, don't feel badly...If all of us fessed up our dumbest P-Car mistake, yours would probably appear tame by comparison...well maybe not, but you never know, besides, who will fess up?

Next time you are going to pop the wheels off, let me know and I'll bring my portable wrench over and torque stick, and an extra jack too! You know my cell.

The Harbour freight unit is great. I also use it and it takes the torqued lug nuts off without needing to brake them off with a bar. For the money its the best tool I have ever bought. it certainly makes brake bleeding on the track a breeze...

The torque stick is red in the correct range for this one

I was under the impression that the correct torque for 993 lugs is over 90 ft/lbs. Is that correct ?? If so, that would make the BLUE stick the proper one.

I would think that you want to get close i.e. 90 then finish with a torque wrench. If you go with the 100, then you are over torquing and dialing back, no?

OTOH, I may be just plain wrong and not have a clue

If you are going to use the blue one to get close, then use a torque wrench to really get close, what's the point of using the torque stick in the first place?

My point exactly, Jeff...I really don't think the extra 10lbs of torque with the blue stick would be a problem. Lugs are designed to get hammered.
