Thanks for the welcome
My system is stock (am/fm cassette) and is unmolested.
It is my hope to be able to unplug the cassette and plug in the cd.

I'm also looking for a nice CDR-210. Please let me know if you have one for sale. BTW, the '95 993 may have come with an Alpine stereo. My friend's did. If that is the case, the CDR may not work so easily in that car.

Radio compatibility...
I have had some further discussion regarding the ability to "plug and play" a CDR-210 into my current system. A factory am/fm cassette is installed as part of the 1995 Hi-Fi sound package. The radio model is a CR-01 (or CD-01 - My car is in the shop for the Harness recall at the moment) and I've been told this is, in fact, an Alpine manufactured system and IS NOT directly compatible with the CDR-210. Anyone know? Is there a system that IS directly compatible with this system?
Sorry for the nagging, but IMHO if the system isn't directly compatible, I could install a MUCH nicer Blaupunkt in-dash cd for less than the price of a used/reman'd Becker. Afterall, if you're getting into adapters and the rest you may as well go for quality, right?
Thanks, in advance, for your attention and patience with me.
Cheers,
H.O.

210 available
I have a 210 single play unit that I removed from my '98 993 C2 S, It was was replace with a 220 unit....it was connected to the HiFi sound system....
I am happy to sell it to a private owner... to help a porsche addict
My 993 has a new owner......he didn't want the oringnal unit
