I just got back from the Greenwich Concours where they had a 95 RS Club Sport Coupe quite a site to see and hear!

I too was very impressed by this black beauty...and the owner was a pleasure to talk with as well.

I just received the PORSCHE Service Information Technik 96 911 Carrera RS bulletin WKD 499 620. This is the factory publication that delineates the differences between the 993, the 993RS (M002) and the 993 RS CS (M003).

The 993 RS is a strict two seater registered "for road use." The specs on the 993 RS CS are what you would expect for a car that described by the Porsche Factory "designed for use in motorsports."

If you could get a 993RS, or RS CS into the United States, and licensed for the street...you would really have a super special multipurpose car.

In summary, trick monoball suspension, modified front and rear hubs, 3.8 liters....order the book from Gert and eat your heart out as I am. The set up on the 993 RS and 993RS CS is very similar to the 1992 Cup Cars, of which there are less than 50 in existence in the US .

THe sad part for me, is that Porsche could have sold hundreds or > 993 RS cars had they choosen to bring them in to the US Then, perhaps, I could have had an opportunity to get my hands on one .

Martin -

How can I get a copy of the factory publication? Are you saying you got this from Gert?

Thanks,

Bill.
