How do you change dash light bulbs?
I have half of my speedo lighted, I assume the bulb has burned out on the other half. Is it difficult to install a new bulb and does anyone have a photo or details on how to do this work?
Another subject I wanted to talk about is maintanence. I checked into a tune up for my 95 and I have a quote of $1,395.00 is this high or reasonable? It seems a bit high for changing all the fluids, plugs, filters and inspecting the vehicle. Do any of the members do this work theirselves? Thanks for any input, it is appreciated.

Personally, I do some work on my car. You can check out www.p-car.com/diy for information on how to do most of what you mentioned previously. It's fun..
I don't know where you are located, but if you are closeby, I could show you how to do some of those things.

To change gauge lights all you have to do is tease the gauge itself out of the dash to get the the back of it. Be careful getting it out and resist the urge to pry it out with a flathead screwdriver. A twisting rocking approach seems to work best. The lights on the 993 gauges I have messed with just twist into connectors and have a handy slot (NOW you can gently use that flathead screwdriver) on the back for easy removal. I was back there removing my cab top warning light (long story) not replacing a bad one, so I don't know where you would acquire a replacement bulb, dealership I suppose. I would remove the gauge first though and take a peek since the bulb may be good and just not making good connection.

I am assuming you mean, pull the gauge forward? I want to make sure I don't start yanking on the gauge trying to pull it out and the next thing you know I am wearing my dash. And yes Kim I am in St.Louis wishing I was in Del Mar or maybe Palm Desert. Unfortunately my job is here, and the only decent offers for similar work would be in Livermore, some of us are luckier than others I suppose.
Thanks everyone for the info.
