I am a Master Porsche Mechanic masquerading as an IT freak/Windows 2000 Server expert/author. Ok, I'm not really a Porsche mechanic but that's just because my day job gets in the way.

As a 944 Turbo owner, I was a software engineering manager with a group of 4-12 people (start to finish).
As a 993 owner, I am now a software engineer.
So if there is any correlation, some facet of owning a 911 is bad for your career...
