Rich

that's great! Turn 1 are the best seats in the place.

Grandstand H is right in the braking zone (ya get to see those carbon fiber rotors glowing cherry red) and over turn one.

Grandstand J is just to the north, but with great view of turn one and two.

NW Vista is farther from the cars but gives a panaoramic view of turns 1-7 (you can see all these turns from H and J as well)

My seats are in H, Sec 12 Row GG

Rich,
As a Porsche Owner's Club guy, watch #23, 24, 25 in the SuperCup races, It's Flanagan, Kunz and Becker all POC guys. They are in the back of the pack but having a blast! POC stickers on the cars next to the Hergesheimer's.

Laura,

We'll be watching and cheering the team on. Are these cars part of the team of 5 The Racers Group is sponsoring? Regardless, we'll cheer them on.

I think you mean "supporting" not sponsoring. A subtle but very significant distinction. All the American driver's (except Patrick Long) are Club Racers and amateurs that have paid big bucks to run in this race. They are most likely sponsored by their own wallets or the companies they own.

Greg is right, this is out of pocket. #23, #24, #25 are considered guests at this event as are the 2 cars from Racer's Group. The So Cal driver's contracted Racer's Group to support them at this race. It made $$ sense. Most of the costs for this event at the track was at F1 prices. But it was a dream and they all had a blast, and the cars are pretty much in one piece.

This is a step, along with the support of PMNA and Porsche clubs here in the states, to gain more support from the Porsche factory for an American series of SuperCup.

Mike & JKW933,

Sorry I didn't have a chance to meet up with you today. JKW, I received your message last night, however, I forgot to charge my cell phone last night and the battery was very low. But, thanks for calling, anyway.

I sat in Section J (apex of Turn 1). Great seat and I enjoyed the race.

Laura -

I did watch our POC contingent this morning. Considering the competition, I thought they did well. Thanks for info.

These guys did a great job. Given the bumper car weekend, I'm glad they came out OK. Racing was MUCH improved in the Supercup races on Sunday. Whatever water barrel they drank from must have moved over to the F1 lounges Sunday morning.

My congratulations to the guest privateer teams. They certainly represented the common man very well.

Toby
