Pete,

Great car. I concur that the E34 to the E39 are like a 993 to a 996. You definitely have the one with more fun.

I took the other road, with a E39 M5 (I want a more civilized sedan), and a RUF, a much more brutish 911, especially compared to the 996. These are all great cars. We are lucky to be able to enjoy them.
