Default 993 Diecast/Posters?

Hi,

Are there any sources for 993 Diecast, models or posters? I did not see much on ebay.

Thanks,

Chuck

For DieCast scale models you can try:

www.ewacars.com

www.autofanatics.com

www.exoticar.com

The best one I know of is UT Models which no longer exist. They have very good detail and I have a couple. You can find them on e-bay from time to time. Some go for a ridiculous amount of money e.g 993 Turbo S.

Default what scale are you looking for?

chuck,

in addition to my 1:1 993, i've aquired way too many scale models of our favorite car.

for 1:18th scale models:

ut models are probably the best out there. they offer quite a bit of detail and have made close to every variation of the 993 - from the carrera coupe to the turbo s. don't know, if they're still in business, but you can find them on ebay.com or even, ebay.de

burago from italy made a 993 coupe in different colors, as well as cup car versions. not as nice as ut, but they might have a color you're looking for. maisto from italy made a cabrio model.

for 1:43rd scale models:

paul's model art/minichamps are the king of this scale. good detailing for the cash. they might have made ut models as well. you can find a lot of 993 variants. they make models in limited runs, so ebay.com and ebay.de are a good bet.

schucco made some nice turbo, c4s and c2s models.

mr from italy are hand-made metal models. very nice, but very $$$$. if you're familar with bbr from italy, that's the quality you can expect.

for 1/87th scale models:

herpa from germany was the king of this scale. this is the bulk of my collection. they made multiple colors of almost every version. plus, racing versions, special editions, etc. stuff is out of production, but you can find them mainly on ebay.de. these cars are smaller than hotwheels, but the detailing will blow you away. they cost waaay more than matchboxes or hotwheels, but, man, they are nice.

euromodels also made 87th models. not as nice as herpa, but they made some interesting racing schemes.

i hope this helps. i only wish i knew as much about stocks or other grown-up stuff as i do about models. if you have any other questions, please contact me.

Hi there Hawk993.

I got my first 1:18 scale model for a pressie and it kinda grew on me. I've been buying mine mostly off NZ's version of ebay and a few from local model shops. There are many brands and each has there own level of qaulity and not all brands make all of the Porsche range. I'm in the process off opening a cafe/bakery and I'm intending to run a bit of a Porsche theme and have all my 1:18 Porsche models there on display. I'm missing a few like the Boxster etc but I've been buying them as they come up for sale and trying to keep the cost down by buying them second hand rather than paying full retail. Let us know how you get on with your search.

Burago and Ut Models have the most 993 variants that I have seen.

Here's a link to show you most of the brands available.

Default 964 C2 3.8 RS

I have a project car based on a 1972 911 and aiming for a replica of rare 964 C2 3.8 RS in Midnight Blue (the wide body not narrow body or RS America).

Has anyone seen one in a 1:18 diecast and can provide a link?

Preferably a road car in RS or RSR... any colour will make my day!

Thanks

Bruce

NZ 911,

that is an awesome collection!! I'm interested too in starting a business like your's when I retire from my current work, maybe in the next 8 years. Business that would not tie my weekend though, I still want my weekends, specially those Sunday afternoon drives in the Carrera

Greg D.

Impressive collection. I started out collecting 911's only in road trim only (no race colors) and only coupes no cabs etc. But then I liked the 550 etc and have started to branch out a bit. I just hate collections that get out of hand and also there is the issue of where to put them all and the cost. If you think of all the Porsche model variants etc you'll get an idea of what I mean. Now with the Cafe I'll have somewhere to display them all. When I've got the Cafe' set up I'll post a picture.

This model is one I dont have and is quite expensive!!!
