993 Turbo targa? I'm afraid I'm lost here with your post. What's a turbo targa? There is no 993 Turbo targa, unless your post was just a joke.
What are you selling? Maybe we can help you if you let us know what's for sale! You can sell stuff on the Rennlist classifieds or cars.com too.

Steve,
Sorry about being vague and imprecise.
Wasn't sure if talking sales on the page would be a big no no. kinda just curious if anyone would even be interested in something like that.
Its a:
Black late97 993 Targa
Twin Turbo conversion Stage 1 done by Tod Knighton (Protomotive)
15,000 true miles
undriven for three years in garage
Location:midwest

Wow - you weren't kidding. A turbo-targa. Never heard of such a beast! I guess it's time to bite my tongue. Just because I've never heard of something doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Got pics???
We ALWAYS like to see pics.
Yeah, try Rennlist classifieds, the PCA Mart if you are a PCA member (go to the Porsche Club of America website), cars.com, autotrader, Northeast PCA website, recycler, classifieds 2000, etc, etc, ad nauseum.com!
Good luck.
uhhhh - pics? Man, I'm curious.

Protomotive (& some others) will install turbochargers in any 993. As I recall from prior posts, the Protomotive Stage I system is a bolt on conversion w/o any internal engine upgrades at a cost of +/- $15k. I don't recall the claimed power gains. I've no personal experience, but some here have raised longevity and durability issues. The Stage II doubles the cost & involves an engine rebuild to handle higher boost levels w/resulting higher power gains.
Neither involves the extensive changes made by Porsche in going from a na 993 to the 993TT, but it's the only way to have a turbo targa or cab (although there were a very limited number of "unofficial" factory 993TT cabs made according to a Car & Driver article last year).

Had a moment to find an on point thread for you:
<a href="http://forums.rennlist.com/forums/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=3;t=001942#000000" target="_blank">Protomotive Stage 1 (410HP) </a>
It would be interesting to hear about some long term experiences.

Dan - the factory 993 turbo cabs (which were the subject of the C&D article) had single turbo motors from the 964 turbo 3.6, not 993 TT motors. There's a white 993 cab in Texas which, i believe, has a 993 TT motor - it came up on ebay around 8 months ago.

Anyone interested drop me an email
chengchunn@yahoo.com
if you ask specific questions i'll probably be able to answer better and i'll bore you with as much details about performance and pics than you can bear...
i don't have a site where i can host my pics and all, so email will probably be the best

I've got the C&D article at home - interesting story.
[Edit] Just re-read the story. Only 12 of these 993 turbo cabs were built (mid/late 1995). Single turbo w/355HP. Priced at almost $60k more than a na '95 cab.

I would guess you could add maybe a 25-50% return on investment for the turbo conversion cost.
The hardest part will be to find a buyer that wants the car, as it is very unique. Keep in mind that decent "real" Turbo's are selling as low as the 60K's in good shape and decent mileage.
Good luck,

This eBay car might be an interesting car to watch: <a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2403652386&category=10156" target="_blank">1997 Carrera - upgraded to 3.8 Euro RS specs.</a>
Obviously it's a higher mileage car, but includes recent, expensive & extensive Porsche oem upgrades.
IMO, any aftermarket engine conversion is unlikely to return much return on investment absent luck in finding the "right" buyer. Unless the buyer has personal knowledge of the car & the owner, there are obvious (& possibly high dollar) risks.
