Wow. Some good pricing. It's hard to beat Gert for this stuff. If I didn't already have the setup, I'd definitely jump on that!

Mike,
You can just get a rear RS sway bar and use the M030 front bar. I have both RS bars and the only one I adjust with any regularity is the rear bar.

Princeton man...you GOT to get the suspension NOW and get your butt up on the track before you make it a monster with your TT's and all
It's going to be wild...Hey I let you hung out because I'll need to drive your TT when you are done You got to send me your email address so I can send you the pics from your car...

BTW I agree with wise as usual Robert and the alignement setup...It's not all written in stone and the setup of the car is a personal thing. As we all learn and become better drivers we progress and change. What works for me might not work for you or for the next one. The PSS-9 with the M030's would be a GREAT upgrade and trust me it will take a long time to learn to exploit it.
If by then you want more, then you will not want the PSS-9 anyway but you will move into racing terittory and then you will look for another car just for the track much like some of us did here..
Finally do not forget that you want a suspension to play with and you should not be looking for 10ths on the track. The greatest pleasure is to have a nicely balanced car that will help you become a better driver and at the same time be able to enjoy the car for what it was always meant to be on or off the track. The PSS-9 will just do that very well and at that price...my my...

Not that Gert can do anything about it, but the price in US$ is about the same or a bit higher than it was a month or two ago given the Euro/$ excahnge rate...

Hello All,

I've got to give Gert some well deserved props! I've owned my 98 C2S for about three months now and about a week ago I decided to take the plunge and order a PSS-9 kit with the Turbo sways. With the decision made, I e-mailed Gert to order the kit for my 993.

Gert quickly responded that he was putting the kit on sale in about ten days, but would go ahead and give me the sale price on my kit!

He had absolutely no obligation to do that! I'm sold; and will continue to do business with www.carnewal.com !!!

I've already been talking with Brad B (privately) and will probably be asking all of you a bunch of questions soon (concerning the install). But, in case anyone has any doubt, Gert is a class act... don't hesitate to do business with him!

Let's put it this way:

- I didn't watch a single minute of the pre-race, during-race, or post-race BS

- I haven't got the faintest idea who won or didn't win

-------------
Figured it was a lot more important to keep digging out of this damn storm hitting the northeast. Even so, still wouldn't watch redneck racing. I'm glad that I can record stuff that isn't on prime-time Speed Channel (when they shwo the GOOD stuff!)

Danny,
I'm definitely trying to sort out my suspension options right now. The turbos just came in =). Now we are waiting on the Haltech engine management. I also got some footage of your car going around the track with my little video camera. I'll have to figure out how to transfer the video to a tape or make a media player file for you.
So did you decide to keep the RS tranny? I noticed your post about LSD options.

I tried e-mailing you but it was telling me the admin blocked e-mail usage or something like that. Please feel free to reach me at poorb0yw@hotmail.com

Hi Allen,

FWIW, I, too, experienced lots of unwelcomed understeer with my narrowbody and feel that the M030 sways did the trick (best single bang-for-buck upgrade, IMO). I track with 225/275 R compounds and find the car neutral (can over or understeer given driver input). With you going to 225/285, though, I think you'd be adding understeer (or at least negating some of the benefits) that the stiffer sways will offer because you're going up 20mm front, but 30mm rear. This is opposite of what you want if you're trying to dial OUT understeer. If you are set on running this tire size combo, maybe you should opt for the 21mm rear bar (turbo fixed or RS). Perhaps others with actual experience w/285 rears can chime in here, but I think that all things being equal, that 225/285 combo will result in less than optimum balance. And yes, get a good alignment...sways can only go so far.
