Default Rennlist gathering for Lemans 2005

All this excitement about LeMans this year made me think how cool it would be to get to go. Then I thought, I wonder if we started planning now whether we could arrange a Rennlist group trip for next year. I was thinking maybe getting someone familiar with the accomodations to advise me and maybe try to reserve a large block of rooms so we could all hang out together for a long weekend. Not really thinking about putting together plane tickets for everyone (logistically impossible given we are world-wide). I was thinking more of a you get there however you can, but once you are there you've got a room type of arrangement. Anyone interested?

GREAT IDEA !!! I am definitvely interested.

my French is not great, but I get along, so I would volunteer to help organising a potential 2005 event.

Hey John,
The Big Turtle and I were just talking about that yesterday. I think Mike and me ( & the wives of course) would be interested as well.

And the year after that, we have our own turtle entry, although I'd kinda hate to compete with TRG, I'm sure we would be slower.

Hmmmm, France in June? I think I can con, ummm, I mean, convince my better half that this would be a "fun" trip.

"Really, honey, it's just a short drive down from Paris. No, no. OF COURSE they have shops there!"

First - I'd be in..... And if possible - maybe we can dig up another hot pit pass, so you folks could visit down at the TRG pits during the race??

Second - if we get Jen there, she'd want to spend the days in Paris. It's only an 1.5 hour train ride from Le Mans to Montparnesse (the train station in Paris). So, if we plan this - we could figure out who want to go to the track and who wants to shop/tour. Also, in the area are some pretty good wineries and sightseeing..??

We're leaving for Paris on Wednesday - about a half a week too late as far as I'm concerned. We'd be up for it next year.

John D and others

I have a number of thoughts on what the none gearhead spouses can do while we enjoy the race.

I think this is something we can work out.

John, maybe you Kevin and I can discuss after KB gets back to the states.

I've been thinking of going to Le Mans for a few years now, and would definitely make the trip if it became a HWFM event!
