I’ve been away from home for a while. Finally back and finished a few 993 projects, Got new tires and took the car for a quick spin yesterday. Very happy with the feel and performance of this 28-year-old antique lol. Today I dropped it off at Ceramic Pro for PPF, Ceramic Coating and “clear” window tint. Once I get it back I will finally be able to thoroughly enjoy it.

I was shocked at how tight and powerful the car felt. 140k miles and still rock solid. I wasn’t sure about the wheels until I saw them in person. Beautifully subtle in Dolphin Gray against the warm Maritime Blue paint. Just spectacular. Bravo my friend.

Congrats Ilko - enjoy in good health!

I'll look forward to seeing it someday. I've never seen a 993 in MB - but I'm sure its stunning.

Nick, I’ll be driving it up to Monterey for Car Week in August. Just got this from Ceramic Pro San Diego…

Well, I haven't been to the Monterey car week since 2019... TBH it just became a bit boring after attending for several years straight and seeing mostly the same cars race @ Laguna Seca (my favorite aspect of car week - followed by werks / legends). Of course there were new things to see but the vrbo costs for a decent house and other general hassles associated with the crowds on the peninsula have kept me away.

I understand that it's much changed since 2020, so perhaps I should check out the details.

Hard to leave MI in the summer these days.... But Maritime Blue in the NorCal sun could be a must see!

I haven’t been to Monterey since 1990…coincidentally with Marlboro, and Team Penske. That’s a story for another day. West coast gatherings are on my retirement “to-do” list…maybe not this August though.

Monterey Car Week has become a slog tbh .. I can stand about two days of the traffic and crowds, and my saturation point is pegged. If I didn't have a free bed and didn't live within driving distance .. but I am old and cranky so ...

Nicely done Ilko! Getting this one prepped a lot quicker than the red RS for sure. What's the latest thinking on the amount of time to have the paint cure before PPF?

Thank you! I would ask the painter and the installer. Painter said 30-60 days. Installer said 90 days. I waited 90 days.
