I searched the archives and have seen mileage recommendations from 1000 to 7500 miles. Anyone have data or experience to suggest something specific? Thanks.

 

There is also a common thread about using one or two doses before an oil change...run two tanks with the Techron before the oil change, do the oil change and continue on. Another theme is to use Chevron gas only...avoid other gases especially those with methanols etc.

I change my oil every 4-5K miles, sooner if I DE. I do a techron dosage before each oil change.

Oh, another theme is to change both oil filters on each change to get maximum filtering...

I only use Chevron gas, and a bottle of Techron with the last tankful before each oil change (7500 mi), then drive the @#$% out of it before the oil change. My wife berated me for doing this with her car this afternoon, but I keep making the claim it is good for her car.

 

With that logic, should we take our wives out to a nice dinner and boff the hell out of them before they go into the doctor?
