New Motimoto 993 offering: XB LED Headlights & Tail Lights

Those taillights could be these:

But at Morimoto's price point, looks like they will take the market.

I can understand sending your car to a high end tuner/builder (Guntherwerks) and getting a car back with certain stylistic choices. But copying just one distinctive feature (and a pretty ugly one at that) is just beyond my understanding. This is like buying an H and sticking it on random handbag. Its still not a birkin...and looks ****.

I think the headlights look fabulous, and lights off look wonderfully stock! Kudos to them for making a properly shaped lens assembly. But at that price?!!! ...I guess I am wholly willing to live with antiquated lights!!

This is a big no for me. I'll get their retrofit kit, but not these. My problem is that the headlights don't flow with the fenders like the OEM lights do. These lights have that ugly black ring around the lights and it seriously messes up the lines. They don't fit flush in the fender like the OEM lens - and it's because of that black ring.

Personally, I'll never buy another Morimoto product.
Bought some $1200 headlights for my Bronco back in May. Within 5 months, a string of the LED's stopped working. While I get that "sh*t happens" and they are covered under warranty, I'm not at all impressed with the "strange you had a problem??" response from them as if they've never heard of this. Meanwhile over on the Bronco6G forum, the there's a thread where quite a few people had the exact same experience within 1-6 months of ownership. I kept thinking "sucks to be them", till it happened to me too. They also won't just ship you a replacement. You need to pay for a new one (and wait for a credit back) or ship the failed part first, wait for inspection and replacement to be shipped (in my case, not an option to be without a headlight assembly on a daily driver for over 2 weeks).
So while their products look cool and they will stand by their warranty, I'd just personally never want to deal with them again and the cheap components they source which are prone to failure.

On this topic and relevant to my comments above about other Morimoto products, just came across this video uploaded to YouTube two days ago (993 install).
Couple issues noted:
1) installer notes that there are fit issues between the center and right housings (to the point he his concerned they may separate while driving.
2) Out of the box, one of the reverse lights does not work.
3) Noted quality control issues with wires separating from connector harness.
YMMV but I've seen all I need to see/experience with this company.
Also, to my eyes (at least on video) that light strip looks very wavy...
