I took a trip in my supercharged 993 to N.C. for a Porsche get together. It was not a track event. The car ran fine up and back. It was driven hard on the street in N.C. (showing off). The car is running fine after supercharging. About 3,000 miles. No problem. No engine parts in the street

Cecil,

Have you given any Vettes a run for their money?

I dont think there are any Supercharged 911s doing any trackevents and roadracing anymore as the heat build up and engine stress kills the engine. Street racing and dragracing is relatively "easy on the engine" and short duration. In Germany TECH ART virtually discontinued the Supercharged CT3 as the custom built and reinforced engine still couldnt survive all out autobahn prolonged hi speed RPM. This is a German TUV approved 462hp approach. Tech Arts engine failures and warranty claims were very high despite the finest engineering and custom engines built and prepared in mind for supercharging with special lowered compression pistons, custom engine management by BOSCH engineers, TUV oversight and auxilliary oilcooling. 2 of you 993 owners (both 2 wheel drive) should goto a chassis dyno together (same day and same dyno same town) and get some back to back comparables. Should be very very interesting. Come to Philadelphia.......I arrange several 3.8Liter 993s to showup for comparisions and we will have a Horsepower and torque shootout!

Yes it is an Eaton model 90 supercharger. The kit is the same one that is in the Red 993 reviewed in this months Excellence. It is a TPC kit. You can call them for more info 410-799-7223. Haven't had a vette jump me yet, but a 996 did. Blew his doors in

Question

Cecil,

Are you planning on adding the intercooler? Have you heard anything about upgrading the box to the digital version? Nice to see you stomp the 996.

Yeah I'll add the intercooler. Should help with a "little" hp while making the kit safer. I haven't heard when the new box will be ready I know that split-second is working on it.
