We are not comparing steel fork to aluminum one. What are wheels made from nowdays?

But yea at the same time, in the thread above the alum threads came out, which would indicate the opposite so go figure.

Porsche probably recommends replacing the bolts because of the repeated heat-cool cycling of the brakes.
The bolts may become brittle over time.

This may help explain why...And the fact that a brake caliper bolt is a life critical, single point of failure. Can you spell L E G A L
