Am I missing something?

Father of 3...
I bought the lowering suspension from Gert which includes the H&R springs. The price was great and Gert is great to work with! He goes out of his way to answer any question very quickly. Sometimes, I think he doesn't sleep.
I too was in the same situation. My 993 is a weekend car, my shocks were in very bad shape. I know that a lot of people on this board like the RoW setup because of the 'height'. But with the use of the adjustable spring perch and spacers, my ride height is at the RoW height using the H&R springs. I wanted to start at this height first and then see if I wanted it lower. I have not driven my car to fully test out the new setup yet, but my drive from the alignment shop was pure heaven!! The installation and alignment was $350 without the corner balance which they said I didn't need. By the way, don't forget to add in the cost of the FPB (Front Protection Bar). I used it on the way home from the shop.. it was a life saver considering I just bought a new euro TT bumper.
I should have some pics this week...

Thanks for all the answers. You just can't beat this board for advice. I will keep you posted on my decision. By the way, do you guys who have lowered either by PSS9 or other means use a Front Protection Bar?

The FPB is the first mod I would recommend after lowering. I also have a newly painted euro front bumper and everytime I hit the bar, I'm grateful it is there.

Hey, do you happen to know approximately what your ground clearance is?

Craig,
I know you tried to PM me.. sorry my mailbox was full. I got my alignment and suspension done at Johnson's Alignment in Torrance. Steve there is a Porsche nut with several tracked-out P-cars. It was interesting to see what he put on them. All went great except for some scratches on my new HRE polished rims.. ='(

My car is currently in the shop, Carbon Buildup repair, so I can't measure my exact ground clearance. I have the stock front bumper (not as low as the C4 or turbo). I do drive somewhat carefully onto steep driveways, and such. Taking them at an angle. Haven't had a problem.
I do have the fender measurements, if that helps.
Front 24 13/16"
Rear 25 1/8"
