Question 993 starter question

Posted this to the general forum and re-pros thing here. Pulled out the old starter and when comparing to the OM replacement it is much smaller. Opinions, before I proceed.

Replaced mine a while back where the replacement was a tad smaller. I was concerned until the first start, spins much faster. You should be good.

Is it a Bosch SR0451N ?

If so yes it fits and yes it's a massive improvement on the original. You won't believe the difference

I had my starter replaced with a Bosch SR0451N about 3 yrs ago. I also noticed it was a bit shorter than the original but it's been working flawlessly for me.

Much better and lighter than the original. Just replaced mine as the original was too far gone. Much faster turnover starts than the original!

The ones I am seeing for sale now listed as Bosch SR0451N are noted as made in Hungary. Any concerns with this? Germany would give me more confidence, but doubt that's available?
