Default Identify Bolt Found in Engine Bay

Hi Rennlisters,

I was cleaning in my engine bay and found this rogue bolt near the passenger side motor mount. Can anyone help me identify it? Need to know what job the mickey mouse mechanic was doing when they dropped this bolt, so that I can put it back where it belongs. Looks like a 4mm allen head bolt.

Thanks for the hint! It allowed me to look into that area parts diagram and found it. It is one of the 4 rear spoiler bolts with part number 964-512-722-00

But did you find a missing bolt on your spoiler?

Good point. No, I don't easily see it. My thought could be that the previous owner used another random bolt and I cannot tell, or bought a replacement OEM bolt. It also appears that the left side of the spoiler attachment is covered by some plastic. Hard to tell to be honest unless I start taking it apart. For now, I am happy to no longer have a loose bolt rolling around in the engine bay.

That is a definitely a spoiler mechanism to spoiler bolt, just had mine off recently. It should also have a washer on it, but perhaps missing.

Thought so. thanks for the confirmation. No washer on this loose one. Looks like the spoiler mechanism had some plastic cover where it connects to the spoiler right? I can only see one other of these bolts.
