Default Ohlins R&T for 993 C2S: looking for US source

Hi,

Not sure if there was ever widespread adoption in the US of the Ohlins R&T for 993, but I am entranced by the idea. Id appreciate any pointers on who may still be selling them in the US. Love to also hear your experience with these on 993 if any.

Thank you.

Literally, first Google result: https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/por...dium=ppc&ttv=2 Now with 10% off, it seems. Pelican also has them.

I like Ohlins on Miatas, but not much is known of their 993 suspension. So I'd do some research.

Good catch. FCP provided the wrong part number when I put the car in.

The right one is POR GP01 and can be bought here and a few other places: https://www.race-engineered.com/shop...-carrera-turbo The pricing, though, is out of hand IMHO. If anything, I'd find them in Europe like here: https://flachtmotorsport.co.uk/produ...orsche-models/ have them subtract VAT and have them shipped. Done that a number of times. It's doable.

Thank you.
I bought mine from the UK because was struggling to find in the USA (back in late 2020).
I did have an issue - you can read about it here post #24: https://rennlist.com/forums/993-foru...-ohlins-3.html

I bought the car on standard SUV height setup and quickly replaced with brand new M030. I drove with that for around 10 years until I decided I wanted more adjustability: Ride height, camber and damper response. I debated going full active, but this car is very analog and why I love it - so I went R&T.
I've put about 1500 miles on these Ohlins, about 500 since the fault was fixed and now I can appreciate them.

On the plus side: Damping is excellent, I can feel the quality step-up. You can feel the top mounts at the front giving a more solid feel in corners which was a target. I can also feel the range of adjustment i.e. soft is softer etc - some dampers I've had previously the range seemed tiny. I could get the ride height I wanted (currently approx RS +6mm to +13mm). Each coilover assembly weighs less than the equivalent M030 (Front 14.8 lbs -v- 17.6, Rear 9.6 lbs -v- 12.5 lbs), so I've dropped the equivalent lbs of a dry beer month. Construction materials seem quality and ... I think they look sexy, I'm a sucker for shiny machined things.

Negatives so far would be: Well, one broke which sucked. At no point was it un-driveable, but the noise it made drove me crazy. The adjustment **** on the fronts are both delicate and unprotected - I plan on 3D printing covers at some point. Due to the solid top mounts (M030 have rubber) I was expecting NVH to be a lot worse (it must have increased), however the wife never usually holds back on commenting - and we returned from a 4 day drive with zero complaints - the 993 is hardly a cocoon of serenity to start with. And I guess the final negative is... they are pricey - but I'd buy them again tomorrow.

Hope that helped, good luck.

Granted this is a review for Ohlins installed on a Cayman T, but he sure seems impressed
