993 Oil Holding Tank Magnetic Drain Plug
Received the just released magnetic drain plug that Charles Navarro (LN Eng.) has produced for the 993 oil tank. This is a great addition to the car as now the tank has a magnetic drain plug too. I'm replacing the sump and G50 drain plug with the LN type as the magnet is much more powerful than the stock one. Tony Callas had previously shown the difference on one of his TY video's.

Interesting idea,
Has anyone had one of these installed for a while and can show how it actually traps metal particles?

Andy, they just came out within the last week to 10 days. But no reason to think that it wouldn't catch some additional particles. Basically its acting like another source of containment much like having that second oil filter on our cars. Furthermore, Porsche did have both a tank and sump magnetic drain plugs on the 911G. When they went with the second oil filter on 993 they did away with the second magnet.
