powder coated calipers (pictures)
Hi Folks,
I got my calipers back yesterday and installed them today. They were powder coated locally (here in Redwood City) and I'm very pleased with the outcome.
Take a peak at the pictures below:

The costs of my brake job are as follows:
- powder coating $140
- stencils $ 24
- hi temp white spray paint $ 9
- hawk perfr. pads (4 corners) $177
- set of shims $ 12
- front Porsche OE rotors $220
- ATE Brake Fluid $ 18
The job took me the following time:
- removal 2hrs
- install 2hrs
- bleed brakes (w/ a power bleeder) 1.5hrs
By the way if anyone wants my old Porsche factory (Textar) pads they are welcome to them. There is more than 50% left. The front rotors were past there orig. wear limit, so I junked them.
If anyone wants to know any of the vendors I used, send me a private message & I'd be happy to send you the info. I have no affiliation with any of them. Since the stencils were asked directly you can get them at: http://www.europdr.com/caliperstencil.htm
Cheers,
Boris
