Vic:
Sorry it sounded confusing, I was also confused. The dealer did the PPI on the Porsche form, identical to what is on the Rosen website, and this is what I meant by the certification. Many of the components on this form were included in the 30K service they did the week before, so they probably didn't spend much extra time on the car. Nevertheless, they claim the 1 year Porsche warranty will cost me $1200....Since the car was gone over also by an independent mechanic, and they are including a powertrain warranty, I am probably going to forego the extra $1200. The car is great - drove it all weekend long and to the local vintage grand prix in Pittsburgh, where Porsche was the featured marque this year. This is my fifth Porsche and so far the most enjoyable. Previously:
1982 928
1988 911 cpe
1990 964 cpe
1999 986 Boxster (I don't recommend this car to anyone)

If you read the GE Assurance Policy....the key words are " internally lubricated parts " which does not extend to engine seals etc...I think this was the broadness of coverage from Porsche AG that saved Vic's bacon. Also,it is unlimited miles and worldwide in scope....if you had to sell, it may help.

In January I purchased my 97 C4 Cab, Arctic Silver/Blue/Blue. One owner car 30K with service done, 18" wheels, but no warranty for 49K I believe you did well.
