I've been considering moving to PSS10's - I am on Bilstein B8's with M030 springs and RS swaybars. The ride height is ROW right now but I want to drop it. I do a lot of spirited driving on mountain roads and as I mentioned in another thread, do not want to get into bump steer territory after lowering and don't want to go through the effort of raising the car again. BBi or RS uprights seem like an option but they're expensive.

Mmmm. Ohlins. Anyone here running them? When I get tired of my current setup, I'm thinking Ohlins are the way to go.

Hmm, no votes for the KW V3’s? That’s what I run and have zero complaints.

It's weird that these aren't on the US website - the 993 doesn't come up in the product search list, but the model # is PORGP01, I think.

I bought a set of Ohlins R&T with part number: POR GPF1.
I like them a lot, I am still tweaking settings but ride quality and control are excellent.
But, after only about 2 years / 1000miles the front right has a clunking and is now sat on my workbench. Ohlins havent been the easiest / fastest to deal with and it is a bit frustrating considering the investment.
I look forward to getting fixed and putting many more miles on them.
As a note, I orig ran MO30 and had previously driven with PSS9 and KW3 to compare.

I've raced all three though I have not had them on a 993. I have on order a set of MCS 2 way for my 993. Decided to go with MCS because it's what I race and they have proven to be the most reliable, easiest company to deal with, and I love their adjustment window. The spring rate you choose has alot to do with how they feel and on the MCS I tend to use a little lighter spring. Can't go wrong with Ohlins either. I have spent a lot of time with MCS and will not hesitate to say they are among the best I've used.

Based on your experiences, are the Ohlins worth the premium? Having to do it again, what would you suggest?

Had i not had an issue, probably "yes".
Too early to tell now - "worth" is going to include after sales support, unfortunately, due to the issue with one of mine - so far comms arent going too well (im getting all auto responses, i need to talk to a human &#128533. I chose ohlins partly because i wanted an established company for the support, we will see.

Initial impressions of the coilovers are good - beautifully made and when not making a clunking noise, i was starting to appreciate them more.

I paid just over 6k with camber plates, so absolutely not a cheap / easy decision.

As a note: Onlins usa told me because I bought from Europe (during covid I could not find usa stock) I have to ship back to Europe for any warranty work. Ohlins have warranty regions.
But then I was told mine are not under warranty anymore, so I'm going to have the repair done in usa on my dime.
So, just a fyi: Buying in your "local" Ohlins region will benefit if warranty claims arise.

How old are your pss10? My car has since sold but I has pss10 that were probably 5-6 years old, 10k miles or so with a TON of track work. Sent them for a rebuild and I was shocked how much more compliant the shocks were after a rebuild. Night and day.

So in your opinion Ohlins provide the best compliance in daily driving? The only thing I don't like about the PSS10s is that almost "crashy" feeling going over big bumps at low speeds and highway interconnects above 90 mph.
Whats up man, what car were you in? i'm always out driving in the canyons, Palos Verdes, Angeles crest and Malibu..Definitely if money isn't an issue what so ever go with Ohlins..but of course PSS10 are also awesome ..MCS forget, great suspension but too hard core..

In a Black 1995 C2. You had your 458 with you and another friend + enzo! We chatted for 10 or so mins. If the difference isn't large between Ohlins and PSS10s, I'd rather use the price difference on RS uprights and tierods.

Depends on your roads. Ours are very ruff. I'd love to use a higher setting. PSS10 8/10 F/R you can drive over a coin and tell whether it's heads or tails.
