I just installed the Eagle F1-GSD3 on my 17" rims for my 95 993. Its definitely much quieter than the S02PP. How much mileage does it take to scrub off the mold release compound ? I want to be fair and make sure I judge the tire after it is fully broke-in. So far I find the traction to be comparable to SO2 but not better. Turn-in is also not as sharp I think. Wonder if the mold compound has anything to do with it. I upsize it from 205-50 to 225-45 and it definitely reduce the understeer even in city driving. Anyone notice similar effect or am I just imaginig things ? Want to make sure the tires are ready before I attend the DE in June.
Reason I go for the Goodyear is that it is the only tire that has my size up north in Canada. My other option is S03 and Pilot Sport but review seems to rank the D3 a notch higher above those 2 tires. PS2 is not available in my size at all, nor is S02a or Sport rib. I live in the wrong country when it comes to tire selection !!

I've that the Goodyear D3 is a really great handling tire. I would definitely put them on my shopping list when I'm ready for tires next time. I don't think they will come in the right size for me, however.
