Lost power while driving
The current draw is a bit high, but in your case in how you are using it, no worries. I originally put one on my motorcycle and with a 19 Ah battery, current draw makes a difference. Weeks later, my battery might drop from 12.9V to maybe 12.7V.
Nice to see someone that is handy.

So just to give an update on this thread I started 2 months ago: The car has been running strong so far, after replacing DME relay, battery and the negative strap. I have also started putting it on a battery tender when not driving.
If the problem doesn't appear again, I suspect the new DME relay did the trick.
My alternator charges the battery at 13.6v at 2500 RPM. Not great but decent. I'm keeping an eye on it with a monitor plugged into the cigarette lighter hole while driving. If that voltage starts to deteriorate, I'm ready to rebuild the alternator.
Thanks all for helping!

Another 6 months and 3000 miles later, still running strong. Must be the DME relay fix. Consider this case closed. Thanks everyone's help on this forum, my 993 has given me such a rewarding ownership experience so far.
