Default Doin’ The Dew....

After getting the front drop links squared away in the front (and some new “appendages” attached) – yesterday was the first opportunity that came up where I could test all the work I’ve done over the past few months to turn my 993 C4 into both a street-worthy and track-safe ride. So – while I spent most of my time instructing at the NCR Car Control Clinic – I did grab some time to wail on my car – just to see if it held together. It did..!!! With the assistance of Rennlister Steve Robbins (whose car is also pictured – as well as a “spy shot” of him on the skid pad below ) – I was really impressed with the setup, suspension improvements (PSS9s) and the overall handling. And oh – you can “slide” a C4 around a skid-pad – it just takes a little extra effort. Here’s proof (Thanks for the pics Steve!):

And two more pics,,,,

Thanks!!! It was a BLAST on the skid-pad and the braking course..! Since I don't do Auto-X (there are too many cones ) - I never ran that course - but I kept expecting to hear a "pop" or a groan out of the suspension - but it came away from the day without any problems..... I also have to add that without many of you on Rennlist - my 993 would still be a "basket case".... So my thanks to you as well...!!!

You are SO HELPFUL!!!

It's something I'm thinking about - but, I need to worry about installing a few things first like a set of aluminium pedals (I'm having a hard time with heel-toe, as I have very small feet, so it's nearly impossible to "ankle roll" for me), a fire extinguisher mount and a strut brace... After that..??!!!

Anyway - the splitters are from MA Shaw (http://www.mashaw.com/) and I am thrilled with the quality and fit. So - if I do go with the RS tail, I'll go with Mike's as well.

Thanks again!!!!

Hey John, be careful, your car is starting to look a bit quick...were there other turtles jumping out of the way in those puddles you were cruising through(too un-slowly i might add)?...

Don't be blaming me!!! You have NO IDEA how much trouble I appear to cause between spouses and significant others already!! For example, while at Hershey - I met a 993 Rennlister and their "better half" (names with held to protect the innocent) - and she walks up and the first thing she said to me was "I just want to thank you for interfering with our relationship".... Of course - she was kidding (I think?? )....

Also - Steve - great pictures (again!!) My thanks!...

I was looking at the "NH Car Wash" pic - and jeez - there is a LOT going on in that pic! Fronts are trying to dig, the rears are pushing - and it looks like the whole car is drifting out... Amazing!!! (Also - did you pick up that steering brace/bolts from Matt, or does he still have them?).

Here is the picture I'm talking about...
