Did some quick digging... Terry Wall (who apparently owns the 996s) owns a number of car dealerships in the Greenville, SC area. He invited a pastor (Rev. W. Carey Hedgpeth ) to conduct services, bible studies, etc. on his premises for any of the employees/families that were intrested.
So, he's advertizing the ministry work on the cars...That's neat.

Here's an article I found: http://wdb.wardsauto.com/magazineart...462&mode=print

Thanks.

The owner of the cars owns 4 dealerships, Volvo, Lexus, Porsche & i forgot.
I think He's just a member of the "Faith at work ministries". I guess that the church he goes to on sundays. He's not reverend or pastor or founder like everyone thinks.

His cars are awesome! I like the vynil paint design. The 2 cars with identical paint schemes are actually done in vinyl sticker type work. Designed it on computer and done in vinyl. The number 4 car is for sale according to him. A very nice gentleman. He even let me sit in his cars. I was in heaven then. His rig is a full size volvo truck trailer that expands sideways for more room.

The vinyl product is, most likely, 3M's Scotchcal.

Wow Mark, I didn;t know these exists. I wonder if they make them where you could use your home printer on it.

Are you running the 29th fun drive?

Mike,

No, my car isn't really made for the street anymore, as it's very much dialed in for the track. I also need to save the tires since I'm running a fair bit of neg camber. Highway driving=bad.

I'm guessing that the Scotchcal requires special inks that are designed for the application. I'd be surprised if you can crank it out on your printer, unless you have a high-end, very wide, graphic arts industry model.

Tha will be awesome to make your own graphics. I really like the fade into white porsche logo that 996 above has. We should do a group buy on that graphic industrial grade printer

I have to drive the wife to NJ on the 29th and thinking of dropping by the fun drive there in MD/DC/VA you guys are having.

Thanks for sharing those pictures with us, Mike. It makes me wish that I could have been there! It definitely has me longing for the summer conventions I am planning to attend. Cheers.

Jason and NeedPorscheSpeed, Your welcome. I'm glad to post them. Next PCA FSR DE event at VIR is in Sept. and will be followed by PCA Club Race and Grand Am the following weekend http://fst.pca.org/events.htm
That should be a blast. Although the Grand Am, you have to pay for admission. the PCA FSR DE is free admission of course for everyone.

Thumbs up

1 more pix of Ray's and Jen's 911.
When I took this picture, the car seems to talk to me saying "Let me out of this trailer...I want to run"!!

Unhappy

The only serious incident happened Sunday, when an 80's BMW M3 lost it in turn 6 (esses) and flipped over. No harm to the driver, but the car was pretty much toast. Good thing he had a full roll cage in it.

Thanks for the kind words John. Your car is looking better! I saw the pictures you just posted where you guys were playing in the water, the RS Splitters look awesome. Car is just looking great, I can see the difference when you first got it. The TLC you put is evident. Is your's Grand Prix White also?

I didn't run at VIR this time. I'm going out of the country for 6 months so I thought that I didn't want to forget the training. I'll do it when I come back.

Hey Mike,

Yep - most of it is Grand Prix White, except where the PO dorked the bumper cover lower. I don't know what body shop he used - but they came "almost" close to matching. If I get some time this weekend, I want to remove the cover and reshoot it the original GP White....

I look forward to it.! In the meantime - have a safe, successful trip!

Best to you!

John
