A buddy of mine is looking to sell his car...I told him that I would ask the brains at Rennlist what they think the car is worth. I have been out of the 993 market for ~1 year. Here is the cut/paste from his email:

1996 Porsche Targa...14,600 original miles (bought it with 11K). Loaded $5k sound system(same one as Puff Daddy's...that is what the salesman said) Always garaged. Silver/Gray 6speed. I bought it from the original owner who is a friend of mine who was going through a divorce. It was his wife's car....Bummer.

Any ideas what this is worth? I have seen the car and would say it is in excellent condition.

 

A 1997 tiptronic Targa here in Austin sold recently for $50k. It had 11k miles, silver with a custom-colored interior. The dealer was Autostrada, and they said it was in excellent condition. You may want to call them for more details.

I paid 40k in Nov for a 96 targa with 10k worth of options and 29k miles. If you get it for 40k I'd grab it then you can help Jago and I figure out where our roof squeaks above the windshield are coming from. Beto

 

There's a white/blue '97 Targa on Ebay with the BIN option of $46k. It's got 20k on the odo. The blue interior is definitely a personal preference and may not be for everyone.

I am not in the market, otherwise, I would jump on it! I am a sucker for Silver! I have my sights on a 930 (1989 cab if possible). I sold my 993TT about 1 year ago and miss the fun!
